Dizin Ski Resort

In 1969, the Shah of Iran built the Middle-East biggest ski resorts in Iran the ‘Dizin resort’ which is situated just north of Tehran province in the Alborz Mountains at an altitude of 8,530 feet which makes it one of the 40 highest ski resorts in the world (the highest ski lift here reaches 11,482 feet).

Shemshak Ski Resort

Shemshak comes thirds after Dizin and Darbandsar resorts which is also situated in the north-east of Tehran’s province in the Alborz mountain range. Shemshak resort came into operation in 1958. As of 2019, it includes two chairlifts and three surface lifts. The slopes lie at an altitude of 2,550 m to 3,050 m above sea level.

Darbandsar Ski Resort

Darbandsar is the second largest ski resorts in Iran after Dizin and is located in Tehran Province on the Alborz mountain range about 60 kilometres away from Iran’s capital city, Tehran.
